Elizabeth Hornblower NEWNAM (not Newman), daughter of Samuel NEWNAM married Henry Kenward Shiells in 1884. Though not a direct ancestor of my husband, he is related to the Hornblower family and Elizabeth's grandmother was a Hornblower (maiden name (Elizabeth Jorden Hornblower). The Horsblower surname was the middle name of Elizabeth Hornblower Clarke (1822 - 1911), the mother of E.H. NEWHAM, born April 22 in Truro,Cornwall. Her husband was Henry Kenward Shiells (1956 - 1917)who was a chartered accountant. They had (at least( two children, Edith N. Shiells (1886 -?)and Arthur Kenward Shiells (1890 - 1950)
